Autodidact : Beside basic knowledge in drawing form and colour , I have studied the art profession on my own.
Countless hours have been spent in the library , and at home with books of practical and theoretical contents of art.
I put a lot of
work into making a painting/drawing , and it is of high priority that the material I use is
of very good quality.
2001-2003 : Employed at B.M.B. Håndarbeide - Hommersåk.
Designing embroidery and interiour textiles , such as table cloths , curtains , pillows and more.
Some examples of my embroidery design.
1999-2000 : Art school, by the artist Yang Zhu. He has a Master of Art degree
from the Univercity of Shanghai.
In his Art school in Sandnes the subjects were classical
figurative art , which was drawing and oil painting from still life , portrait
and nude.
1995-1999 : I had the opportunity to stay home with my children.
1989-1995 : Employed at Noer Design / Noer Dekor / Alfabet.
Designing logos , advertisements to put on cars , shop/company facade signs , business show/display
signs and more.

1988-1989 : Temporary job.
1986-1988 : 2. and 3. year at Bergeland V.G. Decorator/window dresser.
The subjects were exhibition (window dressing/shop enviroment) , drawing , writing and board painting ,
serigraphy ,
photo knowledge , marketing , profession knowledge and more.
1985-86 : 1. year at Bergeland V.G. Drawing , graphic and decorative designing.
The subjects were the basic rules of classical drawing , colour theory , form theory ,
style/art history , hand painted writing
and more.
1984-1985 : One year at Haugaland V.G. Basic course in sewing.
The subjects were drawing , colour and fashion knowledge , pattern knowledge and pattern designing ,
textile and material
knowledge , profession knowledge , work technique and more.
Early interest : Early in my childhood I had great interest in drawing. Even my writing books
from elementary shcool were filled
with drawings , in the folders of the books , while the teacher held
his lectures. In some subjects we could draw illustrations to
written lessons. That made
boring school subjects more interesting to me. Drawing and handicraft lessons I could not have enough
of ,
then it was only a delight to go to school. At home I could also sit for hours with my drawings.
A typical situation i remember , was a day we were free to listen to an apparently exciting
sports contest on the radio , in class. All
the students gathered around the small radio , exept me ,
because I sat by my desk drawing as usual.
